This one is so good, I'm posting it by itself:

I do and I understand."

The Dreamers Prayer:

Lord, maker of desires and dreams,
hold me close to the heart of thy spirit
so that by the grace of thy almighty hand
I will be able to fulfill
the reason you placed me here on this earth
by following and accomplishing my dreams.

O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN!

Poem of WALT WHITMAN (1865)

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,

While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up-for you the flag is flung - for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths - for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

A little ode to the old MSN Entrepreneur Group... oh how we miss you so!
Our "captain" is long dead, but not forgotten.

Frankly, start-up micro-biz-consulting isn't easy. It may "look" easy... and you might think, "Hey, all you have to do is talk." But, performing at the level of intensity I do... saying all I'm doing is "talking" is like saying all Lance Armstrong is doing, is "pedaling" in the Tour d'France.

Ode to the King!

The *ship* was powerful,
And the Journey harsh,
A training ground and strong foundation,
Sailing thru turbulent waters,
Our Captain brought us safe and sound.

The old voyage ended,
and a new journey begun
Boots reaching new shores,
Where the building starts,
Of a Whole New World...

O Captain our Captain
A fond and respected memory,
We shall not forget you.
Revered rank as cloth and metal,
Forever grace the deck,
A hard-won monument to your valor.

But no "Captain" is needed on shore,
So you have ascended to "King,"
You lead us in uniform of purple and gold,
But your wisdom and valor are unchanged.

The "Captain" is *Dead*

Long live the "King!"

MSN was a powerful training ground,
Because you made it so.
But the ECN grows strong and lives on.
Under the very same leadership.

We solute you, Old Nikko!

It takes more courage to reveal insecurities than to hide them,
more strength to relate to people than to dominate them,
more 'manhood' to abide by thought-out principles
rather than blind reflex.
Toughness is in the soul and spirit,
not in muscles and an immature mind.

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated failures. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." - Calvin Coolidge

"Education, Talent, Genius, Persistence, Determination...."

Sounds to me like these two noble thinkers named some of the qualities which make for a Successful Small Business Entrepreneur.

Now, add Hard Work, the Investments of Commitment and Risk and maybe we will have some of the missing pieces of the qualities of Successful Small Business Entrepreneurs.

I'm not a famous, "noble thinker" like they were, but I have the "been-there, done-that" expertise to fill in some of the missing pieces here...
